Scott Wauchope can’t stop making sh** up. Every day something he sees or experiences makes some collection of neurons in his brain go aflutter with electricity and he begins obsessing over a random character, story, or bit of dialogue that won’t go away until he writes it down. Now, he must share these things with you, whether you like it or not.
Book 1 – Act 1 – Chapter 3: “OPERATION CHIMERA” (Part 4)
After the initial haze, I blinked a few times before jumping up and grabbing the bearded guy as he was about to pound Mitch. I turned him around as he did me and socked him in the mouth. I got him again, twice in the ribs before he fell back on a table.
“Peter, no!” the girl with the pink hat yelled as she grabbed my arm from behind.
“Back off, lady!” I yelled.
“Leave him alone, you asshole!” She screamed at me and kicked me in the shin.
“Fuck!” I yelled and backed away as she ran over to the bearded man.
“Oh, Peter … oh, my sweet baby!” she said as she stroked his barely conscious face.
“Oh …” I said, realizing what was funny to the girls earlier and noticing the gold ring on the man’s hand which was a wedding band. I noticed she also had the same style ring, but it was on the wrong finger.
“Hey … I had him.” Mitch said as I helped him up.
“I know.” I said and suddenly noticed how much my cheek hurt. I looked over and saw that the bouncers had quelled Ed, Gary and the others.
“Shit …” Mitch said as a couple of police officers showed up.
“That’s not going to go over well at the-” I was about to say when suddenly the girl with the pink hat yelled.
